LP® SolidStart® I-Joists are straighter and more uniform in strength, stiffness and size than traditional lumber, providing a strong, sturdy floor. Pound-for-pound, our I-Joists have a greater load bearing capacity than traditional lumber and can span farther. And because we offer longer lengths, ceilings and floors can be designed with fewer pieces, saving time on installation. Other advantages over lumber include lower moisture content, which makes our I-Joists less likely to split, shrink, twist, warp or bow, helping reduce callbacks.

LP SolidStart I-Joists are more versatile than open web trusses. Unlike open web trusses that cant be changed after manufacturing, our I-Joists can be cut to size without having to change design specs, avoiding additional costs and time delays.
